Job summary

Jobtailor seeks a seasoned Manufacturing Industrialization Lead to shape the production readiness of Controller Hardware and Mechatronic Systems in Milford, MO. You will own end-to-end industrialization, from design through launch, coordinating with suppliers and cross-functional teams to ensure scalable, quality-focused manufacturing.

You will drive readiness reviews, implement automation roadmaps, and champion Smart Factory initiatives leveraging OAMI, with a strong emphasis on cost control

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's Degree in a related engineering field.
  • 5+ years in engineering, manufacturing, industrialization, or related disciplines.
  • Experience with automotive electronics, mechatronics, controllers, or high-voltage hardware.
  • Experience leading APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, and Control Plans.
  • Experience with electronics manufacturing suppliers and cybersecurity.
  • Knowledge of SMT manufacturing, assembly, testing, and automation.
  • Strong leadership and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute manufacturing industrialization strategy for Controller Hardware and Mechatronic Systems from sourcing to launch.
  • Lead end-to-end industrialization activities including design, process development, and capacity planning.
  • Drive supplier readiness assessments and launch milestone execution.
  • Establish manufacturing strategies to support current and future programs.
  • Ensure processes meet quality, throughput, cost, safety, and delivery targets.
  • Assess supplier capabilities and mitigate risks to program success.
  • Lead manufacturing readiness reviews across the product lifecycle.
  • Develop supplier automation roadmaps aligned to Industry 4.0/5.0.
  • Drive Smart Factory technologies and supplier assessments using OAMI.

Job description

  • • Responsible for developing and executing the manufacturing industrialization strategy for Controller Hardware and Mechatronic Systems from program sourcing through production launch and ongoing manufacturing support.
  • • Lead end-to-end industrialization activities for Controller Hardware, including manufacturing design and process development, launch readiness, capacity planning, and production scalability.
  • • Drive supplier manufacturing readiness assessments and execution of launch milestones.
  • • Establish manufacturing strategies to support current and future Controller and Mechatronic Hardware programs.
  • • Ensure manufacturing processes are capable of meeting quality, throughput, cost, safety, and delivery expectations.
  • • Assess supplier manufacturing capabilities and identify risks that could impact successful program execution.
  • • Lead manufacturing readiness reviews throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • • Develop and execute supplier automation roadmaps aligned to Industry 4.0 and Industry 5.0 principles.
  • • Drive implementation of Smart Factory technologies.
  • • Lead supplier assessments utilizing the Overall Automation Maturity Index (OAMI).

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related field
  • 5+ years of experience in Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrialization, Supplier Quality, Product Development, or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience supporting automotive electronics, mechatronics, controllers, or high-voltage hardware production.
  • Experience leading APQP, PPAP, PFMEA, Control Plans, Run-at-Rate, and manufacturing readiness activities.
  • Experience working with electronics manufacturing suppliers and subcomponent supply chains and an understanding of manufacturing cybersecurity processes.
  • Working knowledge of SMT manufacturing, assembly process, electronics testing, functional test systems, automated inspection systems, and manufacturing automation technologies.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to influence without direct authority.
  • Ability to collaborate across Engineering, Purchasing, Manufacturing, Quality, Supply Chain, and Supplier organizations.
  • Strong communication and presentation skills.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead technical discussions at executive, management, and supplier leadership levels.
  • Strong analytical and decision-making capabilities.
