Responsibilities

  • Assist in designing industrial automation hardware schematics.
  • Create hardware layouts, wiring drawings, and BOMs.
  • Collaborate with software, controls, manufacturing, and panel teams.
  • Develop hardware documentation and quality verification processes.
  • Troubleshoot hardware issues during development, manufacturing, and startup.
  • Ensure designs comply with UL508A standards.
  • Support industrial networking and communication systems.
  • Assist with startup and commissioning at customer sites.

Job Description

You’ll be part of a team that gets things done, works with purpose, and takes pride in the results. Your day-to-day responsibilities may include:

  • Assisting in designing industrial automation hardware schematics that meet customer requirements.
  • Create hardware layouts, wiring drawings, and bills of materials.
  • Collaborate with software, controls, manufacturing, and panel shop teams to ensure successful project execution and production handoff.
  • Develop and execute hardware documentation and quality verification processes prior to production release.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve hardware-related issues during development, manufacturing, and startup phases.
  • Ensure hardware designs comply with applicable industry standards and regulatory requirements, including UL508A standards.
  • Support the implementation of industrial networking and communication systems.
  • Support occasional startup and commissioning activities at customer sites.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • Ability to work in our Eagan, MN location 5 days/week.
  • Ability to report progress daily to the leadership team, to ensure intern tasks and projects are completed on time.
  • Excellent organizational skills including attention to detail and multitasking skills.
  • Competency in Microsoft applications including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Exceptional verbal, written and presentation skills.
  • Willing to work on some out-of-town projects.

Pay Range

We believe in paying for the value you bring to the team, and we aim to be competitive in every market we hire in.

Pay Range: $20 - $25/hour
