Job description

Hardware Engineer II (Finance)

As a Hardware Engineer II at Honeywell, you will be a key contributor to the design and development of cutting-edge hardware solutions. You will play a critical role in ensuring the delivery of high-quality, reliable products by guiding the hardware design process, defining hardware requirements, and designing complex hardware systems.

You will report directly to the Engineering Manager and work at our Moca, Puerto Rico location.

This role involves collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of hardware components, enhancing product performance and functionality. You will be part of a team of subject matter experts in EEE Components, providing electronic parts knowledge and technical expertise throughout the product lifecycle.

The position requires interfacing with and leading design teams to ensure reliable application of parts and working with suppliers to assess part performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Collaborate with engineering teams to select EEE components for high-reliability applications
  • Support EEE component selection and validation efforts
  • Investigate EEE component failures
  • Perform part assessments and specification reviews
  • Develop specifications for screening and qualification of EEE components
  • Communicate non-compliance incidents to relevant parties
  • Use engineering tools for part assessments and obsolescence analysis
  • Execute project subtasks to meet customer specifications, including designing and testing
  • Identify areas for technical improvement using engineering principles

Travel within the US and internationally may be required (~10%).
