Job summary

MANTECH seeks a motivated hardware engineer for a role in Doral, FL, focusing on designing, integrating, and maintaining physical hardware and server architectures. You will work with management and mission partners to define hardware specifications and capacity planning.

Minimum qualifications include a 2+ year degree-related experience or equivalent. Candidates should have hands-on hardware installation skills and experience with inventory and configuration controls.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical, Computer, or Systems Engineering, or a related field, with 2+ years hardware engineering experience.
• OR an associates degree and 4+ years of relevant experience.
• OR a high school diploma and 6+ years of relevant experience.
• Hands-on experience with enterprise hardware installation, rack fabrication, component integration, and system diagnostic tools.
• Proficiency in evaluating hardware schematics, component level specifications, and technical architecture baselines.
• Experience maintaining hardware inventory, serial tracking, and configuration management controls.

Responsibilities

• Designing, integrating, and evaluating physical hardware components and server architectures to ensure peak operational availability.
• Conducting diagnostic evaluations, preventative maintenance, and physical troubleshooting across enterprise IT and infrastructure systems.
• Working with management, internal teams, and mission partners to define hardware specifications, system configurations, and capacity planning.
• Maintaining system baselines, inventory tracking, and hardware configuration management items across local facilities.
• Collaborating with systems and network engineers to optimize physical hardware performance, cabling layout, and environmental cooling requirements.
• Recommending and implementing hardware upgrades, life-cycle replacements, and operational efficiency improvements.
