Job summary

Dell is seeking a Hardware Engineer for the CSG Engineering Rotation Program in Austin, TX. The role spans three 12‑month rotations, shaping future notebooks/desktops and enabling hardware innovations from concept to market.

Eligible candidates are currently enrolled in an engineering degree and demonstrate initiative, assembly-building skills, and a passion for developing technology products within a structured Dell program.

Qualifications

  • Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree with a graduation date in 2025–2026.
  • Proactive, self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision.
  • Ability to build, repair and prepare assemblies across product lines.
  • Desire to develop technology products and contribute to hardware design.

Responsibilities

  • Contribute to design and development of next generation notebooks and desktops.
  • Research, prototype, and develop key hardware innovations from concept to customer-ready hardware.
  • Participate in three rotations across projects, product lines and technical challenges.
  • Tackle engineering tasks spanning new product launches, platform enhancements and trade-offs.

Hardware Engineer 1 - CSG Engineering Rotation Program

The CSG Engineering Rotation Program provides you a fast-paced, dynamic organization in a supportive environment that encourages learning and growth. The program consists of 3 rotations, each 12-months long, to offer you the ability to learn across different projects, solutions, and technical deliverables needed to bring our products to market. Essential Requirements

  • Currently enrolled in a computer, Electrical or Mechanical Engineering degree with a graduation date of December 2025, May 2026 or December 2026.
  • Ability to build, repair and prepare assemblies across product lines
  • Strong initiative and ability to work in a self‑directed environment, seek new opportunities, delivers on commitments
  • Have a strong desire to develop technology products

Compensation

Dell is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices. The pay range for this position is $85,502-$110,649.
