We’re seeking a hands-on, high-impact Software Engineer who thrives in dynamic environments and is excited by the challenge of bringing advanced automation systems to life across customer sites nationwide.
This is not your typical desk role—you’ll be on the front lines, troubleshooting, testing, and deploying complex robotics and hardware systems while working directly with customers and cross‑functional teams.
What You’ll Do
- Diagnose, troubleshoot, and test electrical, networking, and hardware systems in real‑world environments
- Integrate and connect customer systems with third‑party platforms for seamless operation and online validation
- Execute station testing to ensure optimal system performance and production readiness
- Run end‑to‑end order testing and support manufacturing workflows in live environments
- Lead customer handoff processes, ensuring systems are fully operational and approved
- Collaborate closely with engineering, production, and customer teams to deliver results under tight timelines
What You Bring
- Strong experience in robotics, automation, or hardware troubleshooting
- Hands‑on expertise with test equipment, electronics, and oscilloscopes
- Solid understanding of networking protocols and system integration
- Background in mechanical engineering, electrical engineering, mechatronics, or related fields
- Ability to operate in a 50% hardware / 50% software environment
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or similar
Bonus Points
- Experience in robotics automation systems
- Prior work in manufacturing or production environments
- Exposure to system validation, commissioning, or deployment
Work Environment & Travel
- 100% travel role – live and work at different customer sites nationwide
- Relocation to a new project location every 3–4 months
- Must live within 30 minutes of a major metro airport (East Coast preferred)
- Fast‑paced, deadline‑driven environment with flexibility for off‑hours and weekends

Job Type & Location
This is a Contract position based out of Perth Amboy, NJ.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $27.00 - $31.00/hr.
