The Opportunity

SA Photonics, a CACI company, is seeking a Hardware Engineer to support advanced Space Force missions through development of large aperture antenna systems and associated hardware. The role involves full lifecycle involvement from design to deployment, focusing on SIGINT support systems.

Responsibilities
  • Develop and maintain system diagrams, wiring diagrams, power and RF budgets, BOMs, and technical documentation.
  • Test and debug hardware prototypes, develop design reviews, and support system installations and acceptance testing.
  • Prepare contract data deliverables as required.
Qualifications

Required:

  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Computer, or related engineering field from an ABET-accredited university.
  • 5+ years of hardware engineering experience, with skills in schematics, PCB design, and technical documentation.
  • Knowledge of analog/digital circuits, signal integrity, EMC/EMI, and experience with debugging tools.
  • Proficiency with CAD tools (e.g., Altium Designer, KiCad).
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in teams.
  • Must hold or be able to obtain Top Secret clearance with TS/SCI eligibility.

Desired:

  • Master's degree and 8+ years of relevant experience, especially in defense projects.
  • Experience with thermal/mechanical design, regulatory standards, rapid prototyping, and signal processing.
  • Leadership or mentorship experience.
