We are seeking a highly skilled and detail-oriented Hardware Engineer to lead electronics hardware development efforts, including PCBA design and product bring-up. The ideal candidate will bring deep expertise in circuit design, debugging, and hardware validation, with a focus on delivering reliable, high-performance products in technically demanding environments.

This position is for a manufacturing company locally in Jacksonville. This is an onsite position.

Key Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, and test electronic hardware, including schematics and PCB layouts for complex systems.
• Lead product bring-up efforts, including hardware debugging, validation, and optimization.
• Collaborate cross-functionally with firmware, mechanical, and systems engineering teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
• Troubleshoot and resolve hardware issues during prototyping, validation, and production phases.
• Ensure hardware designs meet stringent reliability, performance, and environmental requirements.
• Support design for manufacturability (DFM), cost optimization, and compliance with industry standards.

Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
• 5+ years of experience in hardware engineering with a strong emphasis on circuit and PCBA design.
• Proficiency in schematic capture and PCB layout tools (e.g., Altium, OrCAD, KiCad).
• Hands-on experience with oscilloscopes, logic analyzers, and other diagnostic tools.
• Strong understanding of signal integrity, power distribution, and thermal management.
• Demonstrated success designing hardware for rugged or high-performance applications.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Experience working in regulated or safety-critical industries (e.g., aerospace, automotive, industrial).
• Familiarity with EMC/EMI best practices and compliance testing.
• Knowledge of embedded systems and firmware interaction with hardware.
