Job description

Hardware Verification Engineer – FHE

Remote – USA | Contract – 6+ Months

Company Overview:

Join a cutting-edge company at the forefront of privacy-enhancing technologies, building the first hardware accelerators for Fully Homomorphic Encryption (FHE). Our client is enabling the next generation of secure computation, and they’re looking for a Hardware Verification Engineer to support critical work on ASIC development and functional verification.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and implement testbenches, test plans, and verification environments for custom hardware accelerators.
  • Work closely with RTL designers to validate complex digital designs (including crypto-specific logic).
  • Develop automated verification flows using UVM/SystemVerilog or similar methodologies.
  • Write and execute test cases covering both functional and corner-case scenarios.
  • Debug test failures, root-cause RTL/design issues, and collaborate with the design team to resolve them.
  • Drive regression testing and coverage analysis to ensure high-quality silicon delivery.
  • Contribute to documentation and process improvement across the verification lifecycle.
Ideal Experience:
  • 5+ years of experience in hardware verification, ideally within ASIC, FPGA, or hardware accelerator contexts.
  • Proficiency in SystemVerilog, UVM, and simulation tools like VCS, ModelSim, or Questa.
  • Strong understanding of digital logic design and verification methodologies.
  • Experience with testbench development and verification IPs.
  • Familiarity with cryptographic hardware or FHE concepts is a plus, but not required.
  • Prior experience in early-stage or research-heavy environments is an advantage.
Nice to Have:
  • Exposure to FHE, privacy-preserving computation, or cryptographic IPs.
  • Familiarity with formal verification techniques and tools.
  • Experience working in agile, remote-first teams.
  • Experience with scripting (Python, Perl, etc.) for automation and regression.
Contract Details:
  • Duration: 6+ months, with potential to extend
  • Location: Remote – USA
  • Engagement: W2 or 1099, flexible based on candidate preference
