Job summary

Integrated Solutions for Systems (IS4S) in Auburn, Alabama seeks a junior or mid-level Hardware Engineer specializing in electrical and/or mechanical design. You will develop embedded high-speed electronics, custom enclosures, wiring harnesses, and MIL-Spec connectors for military and government applications.

You will collaborate with software and mechanical engineers, perform feasibility studies, create detailed hardware specs and PCB layouts, and validate avionics test systems. U.S.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering or a related field.
• Proficiency in schematic capture, PCB layout, and simulation tools (e.g., Altium, Cadence, SPICE).
• Familiarity with lab equipment: Oscilloscopes, power supplies, signal generators, spectrum/network/logic analyzers.
• Familiarity with military standards and specifications related to electrical hardware design.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• US citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop embedded, high-speed electronics for sensing, communication, and other equipment.
• Conduct feasibility studies, analysis, and simulation for new hardware designs, ensuring compliance with military standards and requirements.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including software engineers, mechanical engineers, and project managers, to deliver integrated solutions.
• Generated detailed hardware specifications, schematics, and PCB layouts for advanced hardware boards, custom electronic enclosures, and wiring harnesses with mil-spec connectors.
• Perform prototype testing, troubleshooting, and validation of avionics systems using the designed equipment.
• Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to recommend improvements and innovations.

JobDescription: IS4Sis seeking a junior or mid-level Hardware Engineer (Electrical and/orMechanical) with expertise in designing custom electronic enclosures withcomplex wiring harness, MIL-Spec connectors, and custom-embedded systemprocessing to support military and government applications. The successfulcandidate will play a key role in the design, development, and sustainment ofcomplex test systems for PNT (positioning, navigation, and timing) and avionicsapplications.
