Job summary

Cisco Systems, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Diagnostic Engineer in the Common Hardware Group to advance diagnostics tests for Cisco switches running on Linux servers.

You will leverage embedded software skills to support new hardware bring-up and collaborate with ASIC, hardware, vendors, and manufacturing teams to improve yield and overall test efficiency. Responsibilities include developing BSPs for ASIC bring-up, and assisting with failure analysis in manufacturing tests to shorten test cycles

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field with 8+ years of experience, or Master's with 6+ years.
• Proficient in C/C++ and Python within Linux.
• Hardware-level programming and device driver experience.

Responsibilities

• Develop diagnostics test suites for Cisco switches on Linux servers using embedded software development skills.
• Collaborate with ASIC, hardware, vendors, and manufacturers to bring up new hardware and develop BSP for ASIC bring-up.
• Support manufacturing test team for failure analysis to improve yield and reduce test time.
