APPLE INC has the following available in San Diego, California. Mechanical Engineering, design, development, and test of data collection prototype systems. Handle CAD development of mechanical designs for integrating new sensors into complex electromechanical systems. Participate in generating innovative ideas and design solutions to enable the development of new technology across the company portfolio. Communicate cross-functionally with firmware, software, electrical, program management, and consumer teams on mechanical and design requirements that will enable intended usability of platforms. Brainstorm, design, and implement infrastructure for characterization and validation of necessary system performance metrics. Work on fabrication of 3D prototypes, mockups, and design experiments to mitigate risk for future builds at contract manufacturing sites. Work with machine shops and contract manufacturers for fabrication and assembly support bring up. Perform failure analysis and problem solving on hardware systems when unexpected errors are encountered. 40 hours/week. At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $129,600 - $195,200/yr and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.PAY & BENEFITS: Apple employees also have the opportunity to become an Apple shareholder through participation in Apple’s discretionary employee stock programs.
