Job summary

CORE Occupational Medicine seeks a Sr. Architect (Hardware Design) for San Jose to lead high‑end server board design. You will handle schematics, PCB layouts, validation, and bring‑up of boards with PCIe Gen5/6, LPDDR5/6 and other high‑speed interfaces.

Ideal candidates have 10+ years in hardware design for HPC/datacenter or open computing platforms, with hands-on board bring‑up and strong SI/PI expertise.

Qualifications

• Experience in HPC, datacenter applications or OCP (open computing platform).
• Experience in custom silicon, spanning analog, mixed-signal, and digital domains.
• Strong understanding of electronics, signal integrity, power management, and server architecture.
• Good hands-on experience on server-class boards with high power and high speed signals.
• End-to-end project experience from requirement to final product release; design, prototyping and testing.
• Hands-on design of high-speed interfaces PCIe Gen5/6, LPDDR5, USB 3.x, ethernet, M.2, U.2, CSI, DSI, HSIOs.
• Proficient in schematic preparation, PCB layout design, and design validation.
• Knowledge of multi-chip architectures and chip efficiency, including performance and power optimization.
• PCB stack-up definition and controlled impedance routing for complex stack-ups.
• Board bring-up and validation of high-speed interfaces; fault analysis and debugging.
• Experience with instruments like high-end oscilloscopes, DMM, power supplies, FG, electronic loads.
• Detailed schematics capture using CAD tools and PCB design process documentation.

Responsibilities

• Design and validate server-class hardware with high-speed interfaces.
• Lead schematic capture, PCB layout, and board bring-up in HPC/datacenter contexts.
• Analyze SI/PI, perform debugging and failure analysis during development.
• Collaborate on end-to-end hardware development from specs to production release.
• Ensure proper PCB stack‑ups and impedance controls for high-speed signals.

• Experience in High-performance computing (HPC), datacenter application or OCP (open computing platform)
• Experinece in custom silicon, spanning analog, mixed-signal, and digital domains.
• Strong understanding of electronics, signal integrity (SI), power management, and server architecture .
• Good hands on experience on server class of board design consisting of NPU, GPU ,custom hardware blocks with high power and high speed signals.
• Worked on end-to end ecosystem of projects from requirement to final product release (circuit design, prototyping and testing) and maintenance.
• Hands on designing experience in high-speed interface standards PCIe Gen5 or Gen6 , LPDDR5 , USB 3.x, ethernet ,M.2, U.2, CSI,DSI, MCIO s HSIO s
• Proficient in schematic preparation, PCB layout design, and design validation
• Strong understanding of application-specific customization and multi-chip architectures. Focus on chip efficiency, including performance and power optimization.
• Strong knowledge of PCB stack-up definition, controlled impedance routing guidelines for complex stack-ups and topologies
• Hand on experience in board bring up and validation of high speed interfaces. circuit validation, board debugging functional testing , trouble shooting, Failure analysis
• Good hands on experience in instruments like high end oscilloscopes , DMM, power supply , FG, electronic loads etc.)
• Experience in developing detailed schematics and schematic capture using CAD tools
• Expertise on PCB design process, Technical document writing
