Job summary

Vedasoft Inc. seeks a Hardware Design Engineer to lead networking hardware projects onsite in Santa Clara or ROSEVILLE, CA, with involvement across FPGA, SI/PI, and high-speed interfaces. The role emphasizes taking products from concept to production and collaborating with CAD, software, and test teams.

The ideal candidate will have a BSEE or MSEE and 6+ years of hardware experience, especially in 100G/200G PAM4 Ethernet switching and multi-layer PCB design.

Qualifications

• BSEE or MSEE is required.
• 6+ years of hardware engineering experience.
• Experience designing networking hardware with 100G/200G PAM4 Ethernet switching.
• Embedded x86/ARM system design is highly desirable.
• Experience designing 20+ layer boards with 50G+ signals and advanced PCB tech (HDI, lamination, ultra-low-loss materials).
• Experience working with multi-phase DC/DC converters for high current transients.
• Experience with high-speed interfaces such as DDR and PCIe.
• Writing specifications and schematics for high-complexity boards.
• Collaborating with CAD designers on layout and routing.
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity tools (S-parameters, TDRs, VNAs).
• Mass production DFM experience.
• FPGA design and Verilog-based system simulation.
• Experience with contract manufacturers and bringing products from concept to production.

Responsibilities

• Lead hardware design from concept to production.
• Define and verify high-speed interfaces and power delivery for complex boards.
• Collaborate with software/test teams to bring-up and debug systems.

Location: Onsite (Santa Clara or Roseville, CA or Nashua, New Hampshire)

SKILLS – Electrical Engineering, 100G and 200G PAM4 Ethernet switching, Embedded x86/ARM system design, High speed interfaces, such as DDR, PCIe, CAD designers

Job Qualifications:

• BSEE or MSEE
• 6+ years of relevant experience in hardware engineering
• Experience designing Networking Hardware, particularly involving 100G and 200G PAM4 Ethernet switching
• Embedded x86/ARM system design is highly desirable
• Experience designing 20+ layer count boards featuring 50G+ signals, and advanced PCB manufacturing technologies such as sequential lamination, HDI, and ultra-low-loss materials
• Experience working with multi-phase DC/DC’s for high current, high transient loads
• Experience working with High speed interfaces, such as DDR, PCIe
• Writing specifications and drawing schematics for high complexity boards
• Working closely with CAD designers on complicated layout and routing
• Working closely with Software and test engineers to bring-up and debug systems
• Familiarity with signal integrity and power integrity concepts and tools, such as: impedance, PDN’s, differential routing, insertion loss, S-parameters, TDR’s, VNA’s
• Experience with mass production Design for Manufacturability (DFM)
• FPGA design and system simulation using Verilog
