Job summary

Rockwell Automation, Inc. is seeking a Hardware Engineering Intern/Co-op in Mayfield Heights, OH to join a dynamic team developing next-generation automation control systems.

You will work through all stages of hardware product development—from sub-circuit design to regulatory compliance—while building strong technical skills. The role is full-time from June through December 2027, and requires approval from your university/advisor.

Qualifications

• You must be currently pursuing a bachelor's or advanced degree from an accredited college or university.
• Legal authorization to work in the US is required. We will not sponsor individuals for employment visas for this internship.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate on an agile team to design electrical circuits, develop test requirements and execute hardware verification testing on new industrial automation products.
• Perform programming, functional analysis, and hands-on troubleshooting of electronic hardware prototypes.
• Contribute to associated product design documentation and test reports.
• Participate in technical projects such as researching new technologies, implementing new circuit design tools, and troubleshooting failures.
• Take ownership of assignments by understanding expected output, requesting help, and helping teammates.
• Build relationships with technical leads and peers to grow your knowledge of the product development lifecycle.
