Job summary

Jobtailor seeks an experienced Sentinel Hardware Design Integration Systems Engineering Lead to develop requirements, verification methods, MBSE artifacts, and theory of operations for ground-based hardware subsystems.

You will drive down flow-down requirements, plan parallel development with IPTs, improve MBSE processes, mentor contributors, and ensure the accuracy of system artifacts across engineering disciplines.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in STEM and 8+ years of related experience or Master’s degree with 6 years of related experience.
• US Citizenship with Active Secret clearance with a reinvestigation date in the last 6 years and Active Sentinel Special Access Clearance (PAR).
• MBSE and using MBSE to decompose and define system/product functionality
• Experience evaluating/writing requirements, leading small architecture teams, decomposing functionality in CAMEO
• Experience using DOORS to manage requirements and specification baselines
• Experience with task management tools and integrating systems engineers in an IPT
• Experience managing across engineering disciplines and IPTs
• Experience developing assembly requirements, verifications methods, and theory of operations

Responsibilities

• Develop requirements, verification methods, MBSE artifacts, and operation theory for ground-based hardware subsystems.
• Drive flow-down of requirements to integrated assemblies/groups.

Job description

• The Sentinel Hardware Design Integration Systems Engineering Lead will be responsible for the development of requirements, verification methods, model based subsystem/assembly definitions, and assembly description documents (e.g. theory of operations) for a set of ground based hardware subsystems.
• Driving methods that result in application specific tailoring of flow down requirements to specific integrated assemblies/groups
• Planning the parallel development of requirements, verification plans, and design engineering
• Implementing continuous improvement in the development and delivery of MBSE artifacts to hardware design and architecture teams (including feedback of design details that update/modify MBSE artifacts)
• Partnering with systems engineering subject matter experts to ensure individual contributors understand and implement best practices
• Reviewing systems engineering artifacts relevant to integrated assemblies and installations for accuracy and consistency
• Developing individual contributors skill sets to meet or exceed program needs and expectations

Requirements
