Job summary

Knowmadics seeks an Electrical Hardware Design Engineer II to design, development, and testing of next-generation electronic products. You will translate schematic designs into PCBs and spend significant lab time validating designs, collaborating with senior engineers across the product lifecycle from concept to manufacturing.

Qualifications

  • U.S. citizenship and ability to obtain a security clearance.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or closely related field.
  • 0–2 years of electrical hardware design experience or relevant internship.
  • Experience with Altium, OrCAD, or Mentor PADS desirable.
  • Hands-on lab experience with oscilloscopes, DMMs, function generators, and soldering tools.
  • Basic circuit analysis and PCA hardware testing knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Create electrical schematics and PCB layouts.
  • Perform hands-on testing, debugging, and bring-up of prototypes.
  • Research and select components based on performance, cost, availability.
  • Generate BOMs, test plans, and assembly instructions.
  • Collaborate with software, mechanical, and manufacturing teams to resolve hardware issues.
