Job summary

Knowmadics seeks a Senior Hardware Prototyping Technician to build, assemble, and test electronic prototypes and production hardware for edge and sensing products. This role leads hands‑on fabrication, rework, and bring‑up in the lab, working closely with electrical, mechanical, and embedded engineers.

You will perform soldering, wiring, debugging, and develop test fixtures while ensuring accurate documentation. Eligibility for a U.S.

Qualifications

  • Eligible to obtain a U.S. Security Clearance – U.S. Citizenship required.
  • Associate degree or technical certification in electronics, or equivalent experience.
  • 7+ years of hands‑on electronics assembly, rework, and test experience.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble, solder, rework, and integrate electronic prototypes, PCAs, and cabling.
  • Perform hardware bring‑up, functional testing, and troubleshooting of prototype and production units.
  • Build and maintain test fixtures, jigs, and benches for validation and production.
  • Operate lab equipment (oscilloscopes, multimeters, power supplies, soldering/rework stations).
  • Support field‑test preparation, kitting, and logistics for hardware deployments.
  • Maintain accurate build records, as‑built documentation, and component inventory.
  • Mentor junior technicians and enforce ESD, safety, and quality practices.
  • Partner with engineering to improve manufacturability and assembly processes.
