Job summary

Trilyon, Inc. is seeking an experienced Hardware Design Engineer 4 for Signal & Power Integrity in Santa Clara, CA with remote options.

You will define DDR PHY channel architectures and PDN, and perform system-level SI/PI simulations. The role requires strong analog fundamentals, mixed-signal expertise, and hands-on experience with SI/PI analysis, post-silicon validation, and hardware debug across silicon, package, and board.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
• Experience with SI/PI simulations and hardware debug.
• Proficiency with high-speed interfaces and DDR PHY.

Responsibilities

• Define DDR PHY channel and Power Delivery Network (PDN) architectures.
• Perform system-level Signal Integrity and Power Integrity simulations.
• Analyze insertion loss, return loss, crosstalk, eye diagrams, impedance, IR drop and jitter.
• Process post-silicon SI/PI validation data and drive debug/next steps.
• Correlate silicon measurements with simulation results.
• Debug SI/PI issues across silicon, package and board.
• Work closely with design, package, board and firmware teams.
• Support channel, PDN and decoupling implementation.
• Apply system-level modeling and hardware debug expertise to complex engineering problems.

Hardware Design Engineer 4 — Signal & Power Integrity

Location: Santa Clara, CA / Other locations + Remote options

Contract: 12 months, with possibility of extension

Pay Rate: $60-$85/hour

We are looking for an experienced Hardware Design Engineer 4 with strong expertise in Signal Integrity (SI), Power Integrity (PI), DDR/high-speed interfaces, and analog fundamentals.

This is an excellent opportunity for an engineer who enjoys working at the intersection of silicon, package, board, hardware, firmware and system-level validation.

What You'll Do

Required / Preferred Skills

• Strong hands-on Signal Integrity and Power Integrity experience
• Strong analog engineering fundamentals
• Mixed-signal / analog circuit knowledge
• DDR / DDR PHY / high-speed interface experienceS-parameter and Z-parameter analysis
• Channel and PDN modeling
• Eye diagram, crosstalk, impedance, jitter and loss analysis
• Post-silicon validation and hardware debug
• Experience with Ansys HFSS, SIwave, Cadence Sigrity, Clarity or similar tools
• Python and/or MATLAB
• Silicon-to-simulation correlation
• Hardware / firmware debug experience is a plus
• ATE/platform firmware experience is a plus

Education

Bachelor's or Master's degree in Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a related field.
