Job summary

CEI is seeking a detail-oriented Configuration Analyst in West Chester, OH to support hardware lifecycle management, device configuration, software migrations, testing, and asset readiness. The role collaborates with warehouse, logistics, facilities, and technical operations teams to ensure equipment is upgraded, tested, documented, and field-ready.

Ideal candidates have experience with device refresh programs, asset management, or technical support environments, and are proficient with Excel

Qualifications

2+ years in a technical support, configuration, asset management, help desk, deployment, or hardware support role.
Experience with hardware devices, workstations, laptops, network equipment, or related assets.
Familiarity with hardware testing, device configuration, and deployment processes.
Experience documenting work activities and maintaining records in databases or tracking systems.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
Basic troubleshooting experience related to hardware and software issues.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Strong communication and problem-solving skills.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, including Excel.

Responsibilities

Configure, test, and validate hardware assets prior to deployment.
Perform hardware QA testing and functionality verification.
Execute software migrations, upgrades, and device refresh activities.
Document testing results, configuration details, and asset information within internal systems and databases.
Troubleshoot hardware and software issues discovered during testing and configuration processes.
Ensure devices meet operational standards before deployment to field personnel.
Coordinate with warehouse and facilities teams regarding inventory, staging, shipping, and asset readiness.
Track asset status throughout the configuration and deployment lifecycle.
Maintain accurate asset records and configuration documentation.
Validate software installations, OS updates, firmware updates, and deployments.
Assist with inventory reconciliation and asset management activities.
Support hardware refresh projects and technology upgrade initiatives.
Follow established processes and quality standards for consistency and compliance.
Escalate technical issues and defects when appropriate.
