Academy Sports + Outdoors is seeking a Hardlines Manager to lead day-to-day operations across Camping, Fishing & Hunting, Outdoor, Firearms, and Team Sports. You’ll translate priorities into store-wide actions, coach leaders, and ensure safety, service, and compliance while driving sales performance.

The role requires 3+ years of leadership experience, a customer-first mindset, and strong analytical and communication skills in a fast-paced retail environment. Bachelor's degree preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree preferred; 3+ years of leadership or management experience required
• Experience leading departments of up to 40 team members
• Strong customer focus and commitment to service
• Ability to analyze business results and translate insights into action
• Clear and confident communication across diverse audiences
• Comfort working in a fast-paced retail environment with safety and compliance focus
• Knowledge of firearms sales processes and regulatory requirements

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day operations of Camping, Fishing & Hunting, Outdoor, Firearms, and Team Sports across the store.
• Translate business priorities into actionable plans for staffing, merchandising, and processes.
• Coach leaders, plan labor, and drive execution to meet safety and service standards.
• Monitor performance metrics and drive improvements in customer experience and sales results.
