Job summary

Goodwill NLA is seeking a Hardlines Processor to evaluate donated household goods, price items, and prepare them for sale. You will inspect electronics, books, furniture, décor, and other hardlines for condition and salability, and route items to the appropriate stream.

You will operate label printers and processing computers, use material-handling equipment, and assist in other store operations while upholding safety and quality standards to maximize revenue for workforce programs.

Qualifications

• Education and/or Experience: High school diploma, HiSET/GED, or equivalent preferred.
• Previous production, retail, warehouse, or related experience is helpful but not required.
• Must learn established quality, sorting, processing, and productivity standards.
• Background check and screenings may be required by agency policy.

Responsibilities

• Inspect and evaluate donated household goods, electronics, books, shoes, accessories, furniture, décor, and other hardlines merchandise for condition, quality, salability, and appropriate disposition.
• Sort merchandise to the appropriate sales, e-commerce, higher-value, outlet, salvage, recycling, or disposal stream.
• Identify merchandise that may have increased value and route it appropriately.
• Price merchandise that is not unit-priced using guidelines to support value and stewardship.
• Record production information and label merchandise for sale and rotation.
• Organize processed merchandise for movement to the sales floor and support other store operations.
