Job summary

Honey Homes in Chicago is hiring a skilled handyman to service a dedicated territory of 40–50 homes. You will perform residential repair and maintenance across multiple trades with a steady, predictable schedule and no evenings or weekends.

Compensation includes $35/hour (about $72,800/year), equity in the business, 100% paid health/vision/dental, 12 paid holidays plus 13 PTO/sick days, mileage reimbursement, and opportunities for growth as we expand.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of handyman or multi-trade experience required.
• Experience across residential home repair and upkeep.
• Ability to troubleshoot and fix most home issues independently.
• Attention to detail in patching, caulk lines, and painting.
• Strong customer service and communication skills.
• Reliable vehicle, valid driver's license, and tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform residential home repair and maintenance tasks across multiple trades.
• Carpentry including doors, trim, framing, and repairs.
• Painting and drywall patching.
• Plumbing (toilets, faucets, minor repairs).
• Electrical fixtures, outlets, and small wiring tasks.
• Smart home device installation.
• Manage 40-50 residential homes within a small territory.
• Provide excellent customer service and act as trusted handyman for each home.
• Use app to track jobs, tasks, and schedules.
