Handyman

Location: Riverdale, NJ
Schedule: Full-Time preferred (Part-Time considered, ~20 hours/week)
Pay Rate: DOE

Job Description

• Perform basic plumbing repairs including fixing toilets, sinks, and unclogging drains

• Replace sinks, fixtures, and complete general carpentry work with a professional finish

• Respond to maintenance requests and complete repairs in a timely manner

• Conduct routine inspections to identify and address maintenance needs

• Use hand and power tools safely and effectively

• Maintain tools, supplies, and workspace in organized condition

• Collaborate with other maintenance staff and contractors as needed

• Ensure a safe, clean, and functional facility environment

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Prior experience in general maintenance, handyman work, or skilled trades

• Ability to professionally repair plumbing fixtures, perform basic carpentry, and handle general maintenance

• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently

• Must be fluent in English with the ability to read and comprehend written instructions

• Basic math skills for measuring, estimating, and materials handling

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation

• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physically demanding tasks (standing, kneeling, bending, reaching)
