A skylight installer is responsible for the installation of skylights in residential, commercial, or industrial buildings. Their primary duties include :
Salary : $20 Per Hour
Location : Houston, TX
Hours : 6am to 3 : 00pm ( Monday - Friday
Assessment and Planning : Evaluate the site to determine the best location for the skylight based on factors such as sunlight exposure, structural integrity, and aesthetic appeal.
Measurement and Preparation : Accurately measure the dimensions of the opening where the skylight will be installed and prepare the area by removing any obstructions or debris.
Installation : Install the skylight according to manufacturer specifications and building codes, ensuring a watertight seal and proper insulation to prevent leaks and energy loss.
Sealing and Finishing : Apply appropriate sealants and flashing around the skylight to protect against water infiltration and ensure a clean, finished appearance.
Safety Compliance : Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines throughout the installation process, including the use of personal protective equipment and securing ladders or scaffolding.
Customer Interaction : Communicate with customers to understand their preferences and address any concerns they may have regarding the installation process or final result.
