Job summary

Intel Corporation in Oregon, Hillsboro, seeks a Tool Equipment Install Technician for a 12-month contract to support construction and commissioning of wafer fabrication facilities. You will interpret drawings, perform precise measurements, and operate tools safely while coordinating with suppliers and project teams.

The role demands strong communication, collaboration, and a safety-first mindset to drive on-time delivery across installation phases under Lean principles.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2.5+ years of equipment maintenance experience or 3+ years of technical experience; 4+ years of related hands-on experience or military technical experience; 4+ years of Field Service Engineer (FSE)-level semiconductor equipment maintenance experience; or 6+ years of related hands-on experience.
• Associate degree in STEM with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience or 6+ years of equipment maintenance experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM with no experience required, or with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience.

Responsibilities

• Interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structures and systems are built to specification.
• Perform accurate measurements and calculations to minimize errors and rework.
• Safely operate a wide range of tools and equipment following safety protocols.
• Identify and select materials based on properties for durability and compliance.
• Identify and resolve on-site challenges to keep projects on schedule.
• Manage multiple workstreams across installation phases.
• Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and quality.
