Job summary

Intel Corporation in Hillsboro, Oregon seeks a Tool Equipment Install Technician for a ~12‑month contract. You will support construction and commissioning of wafer fab facilities, reading blueprints, performing precise measurements, and safely operating diverse tools on site.

You’ll coordinate with project managers and engineers to maintain schedule, manage materials, and apply lean and safety practices across installation phases.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED with 2.5+ years equipment maintenance or 3+ years technical experience.
• 4+ years of hands-on equipment maintenance or military technical experience.
• Associate degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM with 2+ years of related experience.
• Bachelor’s degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM with no prior experience or with 2+ years of maintenance experience.

• Blueprint Reading: interpret architectural and engineering drawings to ensure structures/systems align with design intent.
• Mathematical Proficiency: perform measurements/calculations to minimize errors and maintain quality.

• Supplier Management: Coordinate with suppliers and contractors to ensure timely delivery and adherence to project requirements and quality standards.
• Lean Principles: Apply lean methodologies to drive efficiency, reduce waste, and ensure safe operations from construction through commissioning.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications: To be considered for this position, candidates must meet one of the following education and experience requirements: A High School Diploma or GED (or higher, non-semiconductor degree) may qualify with one of the following: 2.5+ years of related equipment maintenance experience or 3+ years of technical experience; 4+ years of related hands-on experience or military technical experience; 4+ years of Field Service Engineer (FSE)-level semiconductor equipment maintenance experience; or 6+ years of related hands-on experience, including military technical experience. An associate degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with 2+ years of related equipment maintenance experience, or 6+ years of equipment maintenance experience. Or a bachelor’s degree in a STEM field related to Semiconductor Manufacturing (MET) or STEM (Operator track) with no prior experience required, or with 2+ years of equipment maintenance experience.

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in engineering, architecture or another related technical field.
