Job summary

Wine Industry Expo is seeking an experienced Vineyard Manager to oversee the year-round care, health, and performance of multiple estate vineyards in Michigan's Leelanau Peninsula. This hands-on leadership role coordinates pruning, canopy management, spray programs, harvest planning, and maintenance of vineyard infrastructure, while collaborating with winemaking and leadership.

Qualifications

• Must have Certified Pesticide Applicator license and MAEAP/environmental certifications.
• Experience managing vineyard operations and seasonal labor.
• Strong math/measurement skills for spray applications and records.
• Spanish language proficiency preferred to support Spanish-speaking employees.

Responsibilities

• Oversee health and performance of company vineyards, including vine health, crop development, fruit quality, yield, and pest pressure.
• Plan, execute, and supervise pruning, tying, canopy management, and harvest.
• Develop and manage spray and IPM programs across the vineyards.
• Coordinate harvest activities, labor, fruit delivery, and communication with winemaking teams.
• Maintain vineyard records, maps, spray schedules, and compliance documentation.
• Recruit, schedule, supervise, and train seasonal and contract vineyard labor.
