Job summary

JLG, an Oshkosh company, is seeking a Test & Development Engineering Intern to join a hands-on testing environment alongside engineers and technicians working on new and existing JLG products. You will assist with setup, instrumentation, testing, data collection, and documentation for vehicle and subsystem evaluations in a fast-paced shop setting.

The role requires studying mechanical engineering fundamentals, a 3.0+ GPA, and comfort reading drawings and schematics.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Manufacturing, Agricultural, or related engineering field.
• Cumulative GPA of 3.0 or above.
• Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings and schematics.
• Hands-on vehicle testing, product development, and troubleshooting interest.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setup, instrumentation, and execution of vehicle testing.
• Document test procedures and results for evaluation.
• Support prototype builds, test fixtures, and data acquisition setups.
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
• Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and cross-functional teams to communicate findings.
