Job summary

Per Scholas is seeking a Technical Instructor, Advanced Manufacturing, to transform adult learners into skilled technicians for entry- to mid-level roles in advanced manufacturing and industrial automation. The role emphasizes hands-on lab delivery, safety training, and industry-aligned certification outcomes.

Applicants should have 2–5 years in electromechanical settings, PLC knowledge, and a passion for workforce development.

Qualifications

2–5 years of professional experience in electrical, electromechanical, industrial maintenance, or technical instruction.
Strong understanding of electrical systems and NFPA 70E safety.
Familiarity with PLCs, ladder logic, sensors, and control fundamentals.
Experience delivering instruction in adult learning environments is preferred.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechatronics, Electrical, Mechanical, or Industrial Engineering preferred; certifications accepted.

Responsibilities

Lead full-time technical training cycles using a structured curriculum.
Facilitate hands-on labs, perform diagnostics, and assess performance.
Provide ongoing learner feedback, manage office hours, and coordinate with career coaches.
Ensure certification pass rates and job placement outcomes.
Maintain LMS (Canvas) and CRM data; oversee TA/IA support.
