SiPhox Health is hiring a hands-on System Integration & Test Engineer in Burlington, MA to build and test the first home testing system. You’ll work with mechanical, electrical, optical, and software engineers to diagnose issues as a single box.

You’ll assemble, test, and refine procedures, analyze results, and report insights. Candidates should be comfortable with tools, soldering, schematics, and Python-based data analysis.

Qualifications

• A technical degree in engineering or a physical science, or equivalent hands-on experience.
• Solid troubleshooting instincts: forming a hypothesis, isolating a variable, testing it.
• Genuine comfort with hand tools, benchtop instruments, and soldering.
• Ability to read schematics, wiring diagrams, and mechanical drawings.
• Clear technical writing. A large part of this job is making your work legible to other people.
• Data literacy. Able to use Python to contribute to the data analysis.
• AI forward, you understand how to use AI tools effectively in your workflow as well as their limitations.

Responsibilities

• Assemble instruments and subassemblies using hand tools and benchtop equipment.
• Run system-level tests and bring-up on new builds.
• Design and write test procedures, then improve them as you learn where they fall short.
• Analyze test data and report what it means, not just what it says.
• Troubleshoot failures down to root cause, pulling in the right subject matter expert when a problem crosses into someone else's domain.
• Document test results and write test reports.
• Write assembly and test work instructions clear enough that someone new can follow them.
• Contribute to risk management: feed real failure modes back into the hazard analysis.
