AcuFast is seeking motivated college students for a Production Internship (Wean-to-Finish Genetics) across Illinois sites to gain hands-on experience raising pigs and protecting genetic integrity through disciplined production and data collection.

The internship offers 1-on-1 mentoring, dynamic hands-on work, and potential for full-time employment after graduation, with a mobile role across Illinois sites and an emphasis on learning and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Follow and practice biosecurity protocols (shower-in/out, downtime), with training support.
• Learn and perform wean-to-finish production routines to deliver high standards of animal care; assist with movements during testing and trailer loading/unloading.
• Build understanding of AcuFast genetic lines and data collection, including ultrasound techniques.
• Contribute to continuous improvement within our Quality Management System; complete a summer project and present findings at internship close-out.
• Engage with leaders across AcuFast.
