Job summary

Colorado State University’s Wheat Breeding Program invites motivated students to join the summer field team. You will hand harvest and process small wheat plots at ARDEC in Fort Collins, gain hands-on experience in applied plant breeding, and support data collection and field tasks alongside graduate students.

Responsibilities include harvest techniques, threshing, data collection, planting prep, and assisting researchers.

Qualifications

• Be curious and excited about agriculture, plant breeding and the work being done in the CSU Wheat Breeding Program.
• Strong organizational and project management skills.
• Autonomous and team player.
• Dependable, motivated, flexible; strong interpersonal skills.
• All tasks performed require strong attention to detail.
• Ability to persevere through tedious work.
• Ability and desire to work outside in hot, dirty conditions; some heavy lifting up to 50lbs.

Responsibilities
