Job summary

Georgia Department of Transportation (GDOT) invites motivated students to join the Summer Internship Program from May to August. Interns will assist project teams, participate in campaigns, and gain hands-on experience under a mentor in a diverse, multi-specialty environment.

Selected interns must meet minimum qualifications including enrollment in an engineering program, a minimum GPA, and US work eligibility. The program pays hourly with a max of 40 hours per week for up to 12 weeks.

Qualifications

• Enrolled as a full-time or part-time student in an Engineering program.
• 2.0 GPA or better.
• Fall of previous year academic transcript.
• Meet eligibility requirements to work in the United States; 18 years of age.
• Meet any additional requirements of the attending school’s Internship Program.

Responsibilities

• Assist the work units with projects as assigned by a supervisor.
• Support upcoming projects and current campaigns.
• Learn under an assigned mentor to gain hands-on experience in a diverse, multi-specialty environment.
