Job summary

The Nexplore Instructor is responsible for delivering high-quality in-person STEM, Digital Tech, Art, Life Skills and/or Fitness instruction to PreK-12 students at scheduled sites. Supplied with training, lesson plans, curriculum, and materials, you will prepare for instruction and teach with consistency and enthusiasm.

Part-time position with a 3:30PM–4:15PM Thursday class, compensation of $60 per hour per class.

Qualifications

• Part-time position
• AA Degree (or higher)
• 2+ years teaching/instructing (preferred)
• Experience working with children
• Educational (development or training) experience
• Teaching degree or certificate is a PLUS!
• Must commit to the full proposed schedule
• Great communication and presentation skills
• Reliable transportation
• Willing to complete mandatory training

Responsibilities

• Follow provided schedule, arrive on time and prepared to teach (review lesson plans and materials prior to instruction)
• Deliver meaningful, standards-aligned instruction and manage all supplied materials
• Communicate professionally with Program Success Manager and site personnel
• Deliver engaging instruction from Nexplore’s programs, with accommodations/extensions as relevant
• Participate in family engagement efforts and support children’s access and engagement
