Job summary

The Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant III - Part-Time at Rogue Primary School to support special education services under MAPS. This role involves 5.75 hours per day across 184 days per year, with a pay range of $18.80–$22.60 per hour and a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Must have one of: Associate degree, two years post-high school study, or passing score on district assessment of reading/writing/math.
• Must possess general knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Must complete student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Willing to participate in training and obtain CPI/First Aid/epipen certifications.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Must read, write, understand and follow multi-step instructions in English.

Responsibilities

• Assist in implementing classroom learning exercises planned by the Teacher.
• Work directly with special needs students—transition programs and life-skills practice.
• Assist in providing for nutritional, health and communication needs of special needs students.
• Assist in physical management of students, including lifting and positioning.
• Escort and supervise students in non-classroom settings (lunch, PE, library, etc.).
• Coordinate daily activities and instruction as directed.
• Assist with IEP meetings and data tracking.
