Job summary

Central Point School District 6 is seeking an Educational Assistant III for the MAPS PLUS program at Crater High School. The role supports the MAPS+ teacher by leading small-group and individual activities, reinforcing instruction, and providing intensive assistance to students with special needs.

The position requires a high school diploma or equivalent with potential for an Associate's degree or higher. The district offers a comprehensive benefits package and a 184-day calendar with 7.5-hour

Qualifications

• Must possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• Associate's degree or completion of two years of post-high school study or passing score on district assessment.
• General knowledge of English language arts and mathematics.
• Completion of student restraint training within 30 days of hire.
• Willingness to participate in CPI, First Aid, Ukeru, epipen training.
• Must pass a criminal background check.
• Basic computer skills for data entry and communication.

Responsibilities

• Assists in implementing classroom learning exercises planned by the MAPS+ Teacher.
• Works directly with special needs students to provide transition programs and life-skills practice.
• Assists in nutritional, health, and communication needs of students.
• Manages physical tasks including lifting and restrained movement of students.
• Supports IEP data tracking and may participate in IEP/504 meetings.
• Performs clerical duties including documenting health-related procedures.
