SICK is seeking a Software Engineering Intern for the 2027 summer at its Canton, MA office. You will work on hands-on design and support of SICK products through the entire product lifecycle, capturing customer requirements and evaluating function, reliability, and performance in a team environment.

You will engage with Python, Docker, Git, REST APIs, and modern AI-assisted tools, while collaborating with a multinational team on new offerings and improvements.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in an accredited university/college program in Electrical, Software Engineering, CS or related field.
• Strong computer and math skills.
• Experience with Python, Docker, Git, REST APIs.
• Familiarity with InfluxDB, Grafana, Redis.
• Familiarity with LangGraph, LangChain, RAG, MCP.
• Familiarity with AI tools like GitHub Copilot, ChatGPT, Cursor IDE.
• Zero–two years of professional experience in software design for product development.
