Job summary

Boston Scientific seeks an Artificial Intelligence Intern in Maple Grove, MN to assist senior engineers on AI-centered image-inspection projects on the factory floor. Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelors or Masters degree in Computer Engineering, Software Engineering, or Computer Science.
• Must be able to start internship on May 17th or 24th, 2027 and work for 12 weeks.
• Must have reliable transportation to/from work.
• Former Boston Scientific Intern preferred.

Responsibilities

• Support senior engineers in the development and execution of AI-driven image inspection systems for manufacturing applications.
• Contribute to various project phases, including concept development, image acquisition, software implementation, and system testing.
• Manage 2–3 concurrent projects, maintaining clear priorities and delivering results on schedule.
• Conduct independent testing of vision systems and algorithms, documenting results with accuracy and clarity.
• Assist in integrating technologies such as high-resolution 2D imaging, 3D laser scanning, and Visual AI into factory-floor solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to understand inspection requirements and translate them into practical, scalable solutions.
• Apply programming skills to develop and refine machine vision tools and inspection workflows.
• Learn and apply best practices in machine learning, computer vision, and automation within a regulated manufacturing environment.
• Participate in continuous improvement efforts to enhance inspection accuracy, system reliability, and operational efficiency
