Job summary

Gridiron Air in Fort Worth, TX is seeking a Manager, Software Development & IT to design, build, host, and support the airline's business applications. This hands-on role combines engineering with leadership, including API design, Azure hosting, Power Platform, and SharePoint, while guiding two direct reports.

You will own secure architectures, data migrations, and regulatory compliance with FAA and DOD directives, ensuring operational reliability in a small carrier environment.

Qualifications

• 3+ years leading technical staff with direct reports.
• Hands-on coding and end-to-end project ownership.
• Strong vendor management and contract negotiation.
• Experience with Azure, Power Platform, and SharePoint.
• Knowledge of FAA/regulatory IT compliance.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, deploy, and support internal business apps and APIs.
• Lead replacement of vendor platforms with in-house apps.
• Ensure security, access control, data migration, and audit trails.
• Oversee IT operations, disaster recovery, and service desk.
• Coordinate with regulators and audits.
