Job summary

Cirrus Logic is seeking an entry-level Mixed IC Validation engineer in Austin, TX. You will contribute to pre-silicon emulation and post-silicon validation of mixed-signal audio chips, working with IC Design, Systems, and Applications teams to understand requirements and test silicon and evaluation boards.

This role offers hands-on exposure to lab equipment, scripting with Python, and opportunities to learn from experienced engineers while delivering high-performance products to world-leading

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Electrical or Computer Engineering or related field, completed or expected by start date.
• Experience with programming or scripting in MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C, or similar language.
• Exposure to EE fundamentals through coursework or projects.
• Hands-on debugging and learning how silicon, boards, software, and test equipment work together.
• Strong problem-solving and communication skills.
• Ability to collaborate across engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Develop and execute tests on the lab bench during pre-silicon and post-silicon product phases.
• Learn to use validation plans, datasheets, and product requirements to evaluate functionality and performance.
• Build or enhance automated test scripts and regression test suites using Python.
• Work with oscilloscopes, signal generators, and other laboratory equipment to measure and understand device behavior.
• Partner with IC Design, Systems, and Applications engineers to understand use cases and solve technical problems.
• Help debug issues involving silicon, evaluation boards, software, and hardware tools.
• Analyze test results, identify failures, and communicate findings using tools such as Spotfire.
• Document test methods, results, and conclusions clearly for the broader engineering team.
