Job summary

Mesa Power Solutions is seeking an entry-level technician to join the maintenance shop, gaining hands-on experience with natural gas engines and generators. You’ll work closely with experienced leads and mechanics to perform inspections, testing, and routine maintenance in a safety-conscious environment.

Grow professionally as you complete the Shop Tech I course and build skills in wiring, diagnostics, and documentation, with opportunities for advancement and competitive pay.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Preferred vocational/technical training in diesel or automotive mechanics.
• Minimum 1 year of relevant experience.
• Veterans preferred.
• Must possess a valid driver's license.
• Ability to obtain crane and forklift certifications by end of probation.

Responsibilities

• Assist with routine inspections and modify engines/generators.
• Perform load testing to identify problems.
• Make electrical and mechanical wiring changes to control circuits.
• Test batteries, fuel, coolant, and oil; ship samples for analysis.
• Complete tasks directed by shop mechanics.
• Document work and report abnormalities to supervisors.
• Collaborate with team to meet shop goals.
• Keep work areas and equipment clean for safety.
• Assist with inventory management and parts replacement.
• Learn Shop Tech I checklist and course.
• Fluently speak, read, and write in English.
