Job summary

GlobalFoundries Fab 8 is seeking highly skilled and motivated Process & Equipment Engineering interns to join our state-of-the-art 300mm factory. You will work with an assigned Engineer on growth‑oriented tasks and participate in projects that drive process improvements.

We require a sophomore pursuing a Bachelor’s in Chemical, Electrical, Mechanical Engineering, or Materials Science, with a minimum 3.0 GPA and strong English communication.

Qualifications

• Sophomore status and pursuing a Bachelor’s in a related field.
• Minimum 3.0 GPA and good academic standing.
• English language fluency (written and verbal).
• Ability to work at least 40 hours per week during the internship.

Responsibilities

• Reduce variability in process recovery procedures.
• Improve early problem detection and LOD enhancement.
• Reduce chemical costs and wafer qualifications.
• Standardize processes across like equipment.
• Enhance process performance measurement techniques.
• Lead improvement projects and present results.
• Collaborate with equipment and maintenance teams in a dynamic environment.
