Job summary

Mercury Systems in West Caldwell, NJ is seeking a motivated RF Engineering Intern to contribute to the design and testing of advanced RF components and assemblies. You will work with senior engineers on small projects from concept to completion while supporting broader business objectives.

This onsite internship runs May through August 2027. You will test RF modules, generate BOMs, and help develop test fixtures, gaining hands-on experience with RF theory, oscilloscopes, VNAs, and CAD tools.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in a university program pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in electrical engineering.
• GPA 3.1 minimum; transcripts may be requested during review.
• Experience with RF theory principles through coursework or projects.
• Experience using electronic test equipment such as oscilloscopes or signal analyzers.
• Familiarity with RF circuit fundamentals and design techniques.
• Able to quickly learn and apply new skills.

Responsibilities

• Test and evaluate RF components and modules to ensure performance meets design specifications.
• Generate and maintain BOMs for RF products and assemblies.
• Design and support development of test fixtures for RF characterization.
• Support ongoing engineering projects and product initiatives.
• Create and maintain technical design documentation.
• Provide engineering support for existing products alongside senior engineers.
