Job summary

You will split time between strategic leadership and direct execution of revenue cycle tasks, ensuring accurate claims submission, timely denial analysis, and collaborative process improvements with other departments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in healthcare or business administration; Master’s preferred.
• Extensive experience in institutional coding, billing, denials, and posting.
• Strong knowledge of CMS, state regulations, and payer policies.
• Proven leadership and team management abilities.
• Proficient in Excel and Microsoft Office; data-driven decisions.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to analyze data, identify trends and drive improvements.
• Experience with healthcare information systems and patient access software.
• Understanding of revenue cycle processes and strategies.
• Track record of process improvement and leading teams.

Responsibilities

• Supervise Revenue Cycle Managers across Billing, Coding, Payment Posting, Insurance Follow-up, Refunds and Customer Service.
• Support staff training and personnel concerns; assist with hiring.
• Develop, implement and maintain policies to improve efficiency and accuracy.
• Monitor KPIs, analyze denial trends, and provide reports with recommendations.
• Oversee EDI management, payer portals, clearinghouses and EFT enrollments.
• Ensure defined metrics are communicated and achieved; drive training.
• Align goals with quality, efficiency and revenue maximization.
• Maintain updates on billing regulations to ensure compliance.
• Lead audits of department processes and address variances.
• Maintain regular meetings with Managers and Team Leads for continuity.
