Job summary

Suntec Concrete is seeking a Ready-Mix Plant Mechanic to maintain, repair, and upgrade batch plant equipment at our Phoenix facilities. You will work on mixers, conveyors, batching systems, and related systems, performing diagnostics and hands-on fabrications as needed.

The role emphasizes practical mechanical aptitude, safety, and the ability to learn on the job. On-site outdoor work in varied weather is expected, with opportunities to contribute to plant reliability and uptime.

Qualifications

• Hands-on mechanical experience in an industrial or construction setting.
• Experience with hydraulics, pneumatics, and electrical systems.
• Ability to weld, cut, and fabricate basic metal components.
• Capable of reading schematics and equipment manuals.
• Valid driver's license; CDL a plus but not required.
• Willingness to work outdoors in varied weather conditions.
• Strong problem-solving and safety mindset.

Responsibilities

• Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on batch plant equipment.
• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical issues.
• Install and fabricate plant components for upgrades.
• Weld and fabricate parts as required.
• Maintain records of maintenance, parts used, and repairs.
• Assist with new plant startups and equipment installations.
• Follow safety protocols and keep work area organized.
