Job summary

A.R. Mazzotta is seeking a hands-on Quality Inspector / Quality Technician in Rocky Hill, CT to perform in-process and final inspections on the manufacturing floor.

You will read blueprints, apply GD&T, and collaborate with machinists to identify issues and drive improvements. The role emphasizes problem solving with 8D, 5 Whys, and Fishbone/Ishikawa, plus CAPA documentation and NCR management, while maintaining quality records and supporting process documentation.

Qualifications

• Hands-on quality inspection experience in manufacturing.
• Strong blueprint reading and GD&T skills.
• Experience with dimensional inspection and metrology tools.

Responsibilities

• Perform in-process, final and receiving inspections in a manufacturing environment.
• Interpret engineering drawings, specifications and GD&T.
• Use precision inspection equipment including micrometers, calipers, indicators, gauges and related metrology tools.
• Support machinists and production teams with day-to-day quality questions and inspection needs.
• Investigate nonconformances and participate in root cause analysis and corrective actions.
• Complete and maintain NCRs, CAPA documentation and quality records.
• Contribute to process documentation and quality improvement initiatives.
