Job summary

A.R. Mazzotta is seeking a Precision Quality Inspector to inspect close-tolerance machined parts in the Middletown, CT area. This hands-on role requires meticulous measurement with micrometers, calipers, and gauges, and adherence to GD&T and engineering drawings to verify conformance.

You will perform in-process, first-piece, and final inspections, document results, identify nonconformities, and collaborate with machinists and engineering to resolve quality issues. Contract to hire.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of quality inspection experience in a machine shop or precision manufacturing env.
• Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings and GD&T.
• Hands-on experience with micrometers, calipers, gauges and precision tools.
• Solid understanding of dimensional tolerances and inspection methods.
• Communicate quality issues clearly and identify out-of-tolerance conditions.

Are you an experienced Quality Inspector who knows your way around micrometers, calipers, gauges, blueprints, and GD&T? We're looking for a Precision Quality Inspector to inspect close-tolerance machined parts in a manufacturing environment. This is a hands-on inspection role for someone who takes pride in getting the details right and knows what it takes to determine whether a part meets specification.

What You'll Do

• Perform in-process, first-piece, and final inspections of precision-machined components
• Inspect parts to engineering drawings, specifications, and GD&T requirements
• Use micrometers, calipers, gauges, and other precision measuring equipment
• Verify dimensions, tolerances, and overall conformance to specifications
• Identify and document nonconforming parts and quality issues
• Record inspection results and maintain accurate quality documentation
• Work closely with machinists, production, and engineering to resolve quality concerns
• Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and basic computer systems for inspection records

What We're Looking For
