Job summary

Alamo Group is seeking a Quality Control Supervisor to lead quality control across our heavy equipment manufacturing environment. This role works closely with manufacturing, engineering, welding, machining, assembly, purchasing, and supply chain teams to ensure products meet customer requirements and engineering specifications.

You will lead audits, investigate root causes, and drive continuous improvement while balancing quality with operational throughput.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in manufacturing, engineering, industrial technology, or related field.
• Minimum 5 years of progressive manufacturing experience, preferably in quality assurance or quality control.

Responsibilities

• Lead and manage the facility's quality control function; establish and maintain quality standards, inspection procedures, and testing protocols.
• Develop and monitor plant quality metrics such as First Pass Yield, Scrap and Rework, Customer Returns, Internal Defects, Warranty Claims, Cost of Poor Quality.
• Promote a culture of quality ownership and be the primary contact for customer quality concerns.
• Perform hands-on shop floor quality control audits on products and processes.
• Lead internal quality audits and support external customer and certification audits.
• Drive corrective and preventive actions through containment and CAPA.
• Collaborate with Purchasing and Supply Chain to improve supplier quality and performance.
