Job summary

Torrey Holistics in Fontana, CA is seeking a hands-on QC Lead to oversee daily quality control for painted coatings. You will supervise QC technicians, perform testing and inspections, and work alongside the team in a lab and bench role.

Requirements include a bachelor’s degree in engineering or chemistry or related field and 5+ years of QC lab experience; familiarity with ASTM methods and ISO 9001 is a plus. This is a full-time, on-site position with salary range $60,000–$70,000 DOE.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Chemistry, or related field, and 5+ years of paint/coatings QC laboratory experience.
• Experience with paint quality testing equipment and color measurement instruments/software.

Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Quality Control Lab procedures and processes.
• Supervise QC technicians and ensure compliance with established standards.
• Review batch tickets, substrates, and applicable ASTM testing methods.
• Perform and oversee product testing and inspections.
• Maintain accurate testing, inspection, and retain-sample records.
• Investigate customer quality complaints and conduct root cause analysis/CARs.
• Maintain lab equipment and ensure proper calibration.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient QC laboratory.
• Communicate quality issues and findings with the Plant Manager, Sales, and Field Technical Representatives.
